Gold Coast Deepwater Point Apartments needed a container solution for their poolside area and found IOTA’s Manhattan Cube 1000. These are great as poolside planters because of its size and material.
The large Palms in their pool area was growing too big and started to cause structural damage to the surrounding concrete and pool. They needed to be removed before irreparable damage was done. IOTA’s large containers in fiberglass were the solution they found.
As a major part of the landscape design, the management had to find an alternative solution to bring in the palms without worrying about its vigorous root growth. IOTA’s large range of Manhattan Cube fiberglass planters were perfect. The planters were brought in to hold a rare palm variety native to Round Island in the Indian Ocean Mauritius Group. The palms are about 3 meters high but the planters were able to sustain the root growth without any damage.
The ground was reinforced with concrete to be able to cope with the weight and the palms are now growing well. The lightweight and durable Manhattan Cube Planters became an attractive solution to pool landscaping. Now, the poolside is back to its previous splendor – and even better.
