A total of 83 Milano GRC Custom Planters from IOTA were commissioned by GCB Constructions in a multi-million dollar redevelopment project at Varsity Lakes in QLD.
The planters were placed in the arcades at the corner of Varsity Parade and Lake St. The area is host to various establishments and restaurants. These include The Rusty Barrel, Hotel CBD, Bar Gaming Bistro, Flying Chicken, Krish Indian Cuisine, Cucina, and more.
The area is surrounding GCB Constructions’ main office. They boast of delivering large and innovative projects all over Australia and their portfolio is a host of projects from the metropolitan to the regional areas.
The Milano planter range is actually a fiberglass product from the same factory as our Manhattan. It is made mostly of resin (70%), glass fiber (10%), and glass fiber mat (5%). This composition results in a planter with a concrete finish that gives them all the benefits of the fiberglass—lightweight and strong—but also gives them the scratch resistance of concrete. This makes the planters ideal for both outdoor and indoor projects in residential and commercial spaces.
The mid-grey colour of the planters makes them appropriate for many design choices. You can use it with tiles, wooden decks, concrete, and other types of hardscape. Since the planters are lightweight, they are easy to move around yet durable enough to withstand a few bumps in high-foot traffic areas.
This range of Milano planters comes in many shapes, so you can mix and match them depending on your project’s needs. Whether you need trough planters, round planters, tall planters, cube planters, or extra large planters, the Milano range will cater to your needs.
