IOTA was recently commissioned for a car park design. The extra-large custom-made commercial spec granite planters were used for a parking space in Milton Park, a landmark development in Oxfordshire.
The project required that planters should be appropriate for tree planting so the extra large granite variety is perfect for the project. With a thickness of 25mm and internally-reinforced, these planters can withstand the vigorous root growth small trees. A simple yet stylish planting scheme made use of the Himalayan White Birch. With a shallow and spreading root growth, this is suited to the low and wide type of granite planters. This means that the growth of the trees will not be inhibited.
Milton Park, which spans 250 acres with about 3 million square feet of commercial space, is one of the premiere business and science parks in the UK. With over 165 businesses and employees numbering to around 6,500, the area is as busy as it can be during work days.
With contemporary offices, high-tech laboratories, industrial units, and the Innovation Centre for lease, the area is a good working ground for start-up and even established companies.
