IOTA’s Extra-Large Granite planters were recently showcased at Fenwicks Marina in Brooklyn, New South Wales. The extra large garden planters blend nicely with the background of the Sandbrook Inlet along the Hawkesbury River. The Long Island Nature Reserve can also be seen over the horizon.
The owners of the marina wanted to create a relaxing area – a location where people can enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine. Chairs and tables were set up along with large umbrellas on the wooden decking that needed to be separated from the hard-paved area by a barrier that was substantial enough to buffer vehicles and pedestrians, but stylish enough to fit in with the exclusive surroundings and provide a relaxing café environment.
A combination of Extra-Large Granite Troughs and Tapers were used to define the space and provide privacy. The tapers were planted with Topiary English Box Hedge plants while the troughs were planted with Lilly Pillys.
For the owners, extra large garden planters seemed like the obvious choice for the design as it blended well with the choice of furniture, were heavy enough to stay fixed and offered a class and sophistication to match the marina.
