Adding plants to parking spaces is recommended. There are studies that show how shrubs, plants, and trees improve the appearance and reduce pollution in these areas. Increased greenery in cities has a positive impact on public health through the reduction of smoke, dust, carbon dioxide, and other pollutants. That’s a win-win situation for everyone.
IOTA Moscow Planters have been chosen by designers of a carpark in Blibli, Queensland to improve the landscaping of the area. The rough sandy texture of the planters matched the contemporary look of the car park.
The planters were lined-up against the wall as a mark to indicate the borders of the area and avoid accidents. While the plants aren’t that tall enough to provide shade in the area, it can provide an eye-relaxing view. The planters were made of high-quality fiberglass and cement with a colour that provides good contrast with the concrete paving.
Another car park greening project can be seen on Maroochydore. Designers chose the fiberglass planters which provide a modern feel with its smooth paint finish that has varying shapes and sizes. The parking area is host to different establishments and wide roads and scattered plants and trees. Even with the trees, the area is still mostly concrete so the only way to add more plants is through container gardening.
These are just some examples of how planters can improve our surroundings. It may sound simple but the impact is more than what you realize. Agree?
